Podhlavický mlýn and BPR: a story of experiences that don’t end when guests leave
Podhlavický mlýn (The North Mill)
- Some places are remembered for how they looked. Others for how they made you feel. Podhlavický mlýn (The North Mill) in the Český Dub region is one of those rare places that can do both. Thanks to its connection with the BPR team, experiences are created here that have the potential to live on far beyond the boundaries of the place itself.
A place that is more than just a place
Podhlavický mlýn is a boutique design hotel hidden in a valley in the Český Dub region. A place where peace and quiet are a true part of the experience – and its defining feature.
For BPR, it has become not only a backdrop for client events, but also a space for internal meetings, strategic sessions and team-building activities. The reason is simple. We share a similar view of what makes an experience truly exceptional. It is not just the setting. It is the combination of people, attention to detail, care and the courage to do things a little differently.
When teams come together
One of the moments that demonstrated the strength of this collaboration to the fullest was the open-air concert by Bratři Eben.
The Podhlavický mlýn team provided the venue and hospitality. BPR took care of the marketing, production, technical solution and communication for the entire event. The result was not just an open-air concert, but proof that two teams can work as one.
Guests experienced the atmosphere and flawless execution. Behind the scenes was the shared work of people who share the same standards.

Dinner on hot glass
The Skláři na mlýně project pushed the boundaries of traditional events even further.
A mobile furnace from Zdeněk Kunz of Kunz Glass arrived at the Podhlavický mlýn (The North Mill), reaching temperatures of over 1,000 degrees Celsius. Alongside it, chef Vojtěch Barac prepared a tasting dinner inspired by the environment of molten glass.
It was neither an attraction nor a show. It was an evening that brought craftsmanship, gastronomy and a powerful story together into one experience – the kind of experience people remember the longest.
An experience that travels
There is another fascinating aspect of the Skláři na mlýně project.
The mobile furnace can be transported virtually anywhere. This means the experience does not have to remain connected exclusively to Podhlavický mlýn (The North Mill). It can take place in an industrial space, in the courtyard of a historic building or somewhere that has a special meaning for a particular brand. A one-off event thus becomes a transferable format.
This is where the worlds of Podhlavický mlýn (The North Mill) and BPR naturally come together. Inspiration, atmosphere and unconventional ideas on one side. The ability to turn them into a functional event concept on the other.
When the experience continues after the event ends
The collaboration between BPR and Podhlavický mlýn (The North Mill) is not just about organising events. It is about creating moments that people take home with them long after the event is over.
If you are looking for an experiential event with its own story – one that will be more than just another item in the calendar – we would be happy to talk to you about it.
